On Friday we kicked off our Fall Fundraiser called "Bowl A Rama". Our school goal is to raise $20,000 by September 30 and if we do that as a school we get Friday October 7** off for Fair Day!
Each child in the school has a personal goal of $100 and if they raise that, they get to go bowling on Friday October 28 for free! Everyone who raises $100 will get to go bowling on October 28!
Here are some more incentives for raising money:
For any amount raised, each student will be entered into a drawing for an ipod nano and $25 itunes gift card (2 drawings, one for elementary, one for MS/HS).
ELEMENTARY Incentives:
$100-Get to go bowling on Oct 28 and a t-shirt!
$150- 1 week snack bar pass
$200- Lunch with Mr. Brown
MS/HS Incentives:
$100-Get to go bowling on Oct 28 and a t-shirt!
$150- Relaxed dress on Friday's with the option to buy the relaxed dress t-shirt instead of a polo
$200- Lunch with Mr. Brown
ANYONE who raises $200 or more with also be entered into a drawing for an ipod touch and $50 itunes gift card.
At each level you get that level and all levels leading up to it.
**Oct. 7 Fair day is not sponsored by the school, it is simply a day off school and the fair is in town. You may use this day as you choose. We will announce if we get this day off when we hit our $20,000 goal as a school.
Bowling is free if you raise $100 and it includes shoes and games at the bowling alley and a free t-shirt. You only qualify to go bowling on Oct 28 if you raise $100 or more.
Please do not go door to door. Use the mail out forms sent home on Friday September 2 or ask your friends, family, church, etc. All checks made to WCA with BOWL A RAMA on the memo and the child's name so they get credit. Or attach the donation form with the checks with the child's name. Turn all money into your child's first hour teacher or Mrs. Bowers in the Development office.

Last week Mr. Brown did an exciting hands on and visual chapel for our elementary age kids! He used some Chemistry lab ideas to teach our kids about faith! It was a great lesson and the students enjoyed seeing some science in action and being able to apply it to their relationship with the Lord. In this Chemistry experiment, Mr. Brown pointed out that even though you couldn't see it, there was something there when he mixed two components together. Just like we need to have faith in God even though we can't see Him or always see what His plan is. It was a great morning together learning about the Lord in a new and exciting way!
